
This is what she looked like to start with. You
can't really tell from the pics but the graphics are all torn and faded and
starting to peel off... plus, I just kind of want a different look anyway
so here I go...

The first step was to take all the plastic off.

These are the weapons of choice for todays festivities.

As you can see, the expansion chamber was quite
rusty looking. I sanded it down as much as I could and then shot it with
black barbecue grill paint.

I got the idea from some guys on one of the forums
I frequent... and it came out looking pretty nice and much better than it
did.

I'll have to cure it by getting it up to riding
temperature a couple of times before I hit the dirt but other than that,
it's ready to roll.

Next it was on to touching up the frame. Everything
is masked off here and ready for paint to be applied.

Here's a close-up of the before...

improvement.
