SPRUCING UP THE CR250 - PART 2
(Lot's of pictures! This page may take a while to load but it's worth the wait.)

The nasty old tank graphics pealed off pretty easily but left a lot of residue.

Goo Gone took care of the residue but there is still a pretty good stain on the tank as you can see in the before/after shot above. New graphics will cover up the stain.

Next I removed the peeling and faded Renthal swingarm decals. They were a a little tougher to remove than the tank graphics.

Goo Gone, again did the trick in removing all the sticky mess.

Here's the finished product. Looks pretty good plain... I may not replace the swingwarm graphics.

Cleaning spokes... one of my least favorite things to do. Some of you are probably laughing at me for cleaning spokes on a dirt bike that are just going to get filthy again, but these were so corroded, they really needed it.

You can't really tell in this picture but I was able to bring the spokes back to life and remove all the rust and corrosion. They came out nice and now I will be able to just wash them normally to keep them in decent shape.

Getting closer to the new and improved CR...

...and I can't wait to be riding again!
